Arnautovic hands in West Ham transfer request
West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic has reportedly handed in a transfer request following renewed interest from China.
It is believed an unnamed Chinese Super League club has tabled an offer for the 30-year-old Austria international, who has now told the Hammers that he wants to force through a move away from the club.
It is not the first time that Arnautovic has attracted interest from China, as both Shanghai SIPG and Guangzhou Evergrande are believed to have shown an interest in him in January.
Indeed, West Ham reportedly rejected a £35million bid for Arnautovic back then, something that initially annoyed the former Stoke player before he performed a U-turn and instead signed a new £100,000-a-week contract that runs until the summer of 2023.
However, that appears to have been nothing more than a temporary truce between the two parties, as it now appears Arnautovic is determined to force through a move to China.
The former Werder Bremen star has scored 22 goals in 65 appearances for West Ham since joining from Stoke for a reported £25million in 2017.
