Big Sam predicting Nolan goals

West Ham United

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is hoping the floodgates have opened after £4million summer signing Kevin Nolan got off the mark in the 1-0 win at Doncaster.

Nolan, who hit 18 goals during Newcastle’s promotion season two years ago, opened his account for the Hammers with a fine volley and almost doubled his tally with a shot which hit the crossbar.”Kevin Nolan’s goal was outstanding and he will become more and more influential the more the lads get to know him as a player,” said Allardyce.”The demands he makes of them are the same he has on himself.”That’s why I made him captain. He is also here for his ability to score goals and he has started with the first one in the second game.”He is very unfortunate it wasn’t two with the best piece of skill in the game.”
