Noble wants cup run

West Ham United

West Ham midfielder Mark Noble is looking forward to the EFL Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester United on Wednesday night.

The Hammers will face United at Old Trafford for the second time in the space of three days following Sunday’s 1-1 draw in the Premier League.

West Ham have not won at Old Trafford since Carlos Tevez scored the only goal in a 1-0 win on the last day of the 2016-17 campaign, and so Noble is hoping to they can put in a similar performance.

The visitors have some big games on the horizon in the Premier League but Noble believes Wednesday provides them with a chance to make some special memories.

Noble said: “The Premier League is important to us because of the position we find ourselves in and we need the points. We have tough games coming up against Arsenal and Liverpool.

“But we can now look forward to a big game in the cup against Manchester United once again and going to play at Old Trafford is everyone’s dream, so we hope for another good result.”

Boss Slaven Bilic has confirmed he will make some changes but the Croatian is keen to stay in the competition and punters using their free bet may want to back the Hammers to pick up a rare victory at the Theatre of Dreams.
