Striker blow for West Ham

West Ham United

Striker Diafra Sakho will be out for up to six weeks after the West Ham star picked up a thigh injury.

Sakho suffered the setback in the draw with Manchester United on Sunday after putting the Hammers ahead and had to be substituted.

He underwent a scan on Tuesday that has revealed the full extent of the injury, with the club now saying he will be out for six weeks, meaning he misses the busy festive schedule.

It is a massive blow for boss Slaven Bilic who is struggling to find a fit frontman at the club.
