Barca ace rules out exit and pledges to get fully fit

Ousmane Dembele has pledged his future to Barcelona and says he will not be leaving the Nou Camp in the summer.

The winger joined Barca from Borussia Dortmund for a fee in the region of £135million last summer, but the Frenchman has struggled to be a success at the Nou Camp.

A serious hamstring injury has not helped matters and there have been reports suggesting he could leave Barca in the summer, with Arsenal mentioned as a possible destination.

Whether Arsenal would be able to finance such a deal remains to be seen, but either way, Dembele has ruled it out and says he has no intention of leaving Barcelona so soon after arriving.

‘I’m not going to leave after just one season,’ he has been quoted as saying. ‘I signed a five-year contract with Barcelona. I’ll be here for a long time.’

Dembele admits he is not fully fit but is determined to get back to his best and show the Barca fans what he is capable of.

‘I’m not at the top of my game right now,’ he added. ‘Little by little I will return to my best. I’m working on my cardio because I get tired very quickly.’
