Espanyol star set for Bayern move
Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca is reportedly close to completing a move to Bayern Munich.
Bayern are reportedly ready to match Roca’s €40million [£36m] release clause after holding talks with the 22-year-old.
Roca came through the Espanyol academy and has spent his entire career with the Catalan club, managing 68 La Liga appearances so far.
Bayern are hoping to wrap up the deal in the coming days ahead of the Bundesliga transfer deadline on September 2.
The German club have lined up Roca to replace Renato Sanches, who is set to join French outfit Lille.

Espanyol will be keen to use the funds raised from Roca’s sale to strengthen their ranks, although they may instead focus on other areas of their squad and hand highly-rated 19-year-old Pol Lozano a chance to stake a claim for a first-team spot.
Like Roca, Lozano came through the Espanyol academy and is a Spain youth international but he has yet to make an appearance in La Liga for the Barcelona outfit.
