Real hit by injury blow as midfielder joins walking wounded
Real Madrid have been hit by the news that Isco is facing a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Los Blancos have already been hit by a number of injury problems with key players Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy, James Rodriguez, Brahim Diaz and Rodrygo all on the sidelines, and Isco has now joined an already packed treatment room.
The 27-year-old made his second start of the season in the 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid at the weekend but limped out of the action after 68 minutes with the injury.
Real have not confirmed exactly how long he will be out for but he could be looking at four weeks on the sidelines.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “After the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Isco has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the right femoral biceps. His recovery will continue to be monitored.”
