Real door always open for Pogba says Ramos
Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos has said the door will always be open for Manchester United ace Paul Pogba to complete a move to the Bernabeu.
Real are known to be interested in the Frenchman, and boss Zinedine Zidane has spoken of his admiration for the player on more than one occasion.
Los Blancos were working hard to get a deal done during the summer transfer window and the player himself was keen to leave Old Trafford and begin a fresh chapter to his career in Madrid.
But for one reason or another the deal did not happen. Mainly because United were unwilling to cash in and wanted him to stay for one more season.
Reports are rife that United could actually be willing to sell him in 12 months’ time, and if that is the case then Ramos believes the door will still be open for a player of his quality.
“I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him,” Ramos said of Real’s interest in Pogba. “For me, Pogba is one of the great players. He is different and he has shown his value at Juventus and now Manchester United.
“I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique.”
Pogba will not come cheap though, with United said to be looking for a fee in the region of £179million.
The extra 12 months means any transfer would come out of next year’s budget and allow Real to complete the swoop.
