The loanee will miss QPR's clash with Reading on Sunday but the hope is that he will be back fit enough to play against Arsenal next weekend.
"We're hoping he could be available for the Arsenal game," QPR manager Harry Redknapp confirmed.
"It was part of the deal with Spurs that if he got injured they would assess him. But there's every chance he will be available for that game."
The midfielder has been one of the few shining lights for the R's since arriving at the club on loan in January.
