The 21-year-old, who joined Rangers from Finnish club HJK this summer, bagged his first goals for the Ibrox outfit as they eased inot the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
Bruno Alves, Daniel Candeias, Kenny Miller and James Tavernier were also on the scoresheet but it was the display of the former Colombia Under-20 ace that had the Portuguese tactician purring.
"He fought for every ball, he was always fighting," he said. "And he was in the right place to score. I think what really pleased me is the anger and the passion he played with.
"That's just two goals I'm sure in a long career of scoring many more goals for Rangers.
"Strikers live on goals and I am pleased my two strikers scored. The levels of confidence make a difference."
