Rangers have announced that Joey Barton has been suspended from the club for three weeks after a training ground exchange last week.
The former QPR and Burnley midfielder was reportedly involved in an altercation with team-mate Andy Halliday following the recent 5-1 defeat to Celtic, and was left out of the squad for Saturday's 0-0 draw with Ross County.
Barton was then summoned to a Monday morning meeting with manager Mark Warburton, with the 34-year-old leaving Ibrox and saying he was not allowed to comment on what had been said.
In a club statement, Rangers said: "The manager, Mark Warburton, and club believe that time and space is required for both the club and the player to assess all that has happened.
"Neither party will make any further statement or comment on this issue."
