Brown, 32, managed three outings for the national side in 2010 but hasn't been involved since.
The Vikings skipper impressed over the course of the Super League season as his side competed in the Super 8s and new England coach Wayne Bennett has handed him a spot in the 24-man squad for the Four Nations.
“It is a real honour to be back in the England fold,” said Brown, as reported by rugby-league.com.
“I’m really happy to be in camp with the boys and it’s great to see a lot of lads that I haven’t seen for a while.
“It is going to be a busy week with plenty of work to be done and I’m sure there is going to be plenty of socialising with the lads off the field as well and I just can’t wait to get on the field and start enjoying myself.
“It was great to play for England six years ago in Australia but to play in front of a home crowd and family is going to be something else. I’ve got a little lad now and he’ll come to the games which will be special.
“I’m just really excited about the quality of the squad and the quality of the coaching staff, and being at home is really exciting and I just can’t stop smiling.”
