Steve McNamara's men were on the wrong end of a 36-20 defeat at Wembley at the hands of the Kangaroos earlier in the tournament so they have work to do.
However, Sinfield, who led Leeds Rhinos to the Super League title with a late surge last season, feels England can replicate his club side's success.
"There's a great team mentality and, in that respect, it's very much like Leeds and hopefully we can have a similar finish," said Sinfield.
"There were some areas we certainly troubled them in at Wembley and they will have looked at the tape to try to fix them up.
"We just need to roll our sleeves up. We'll work hard again and improve and we'll have a massive English crowd behind us at Elland Road."
Elland Road is close to a sell-out with only limited availability left for tickets.
