Wigan's Ben Flower has been charged with a Grade C striking offence after his red card in the Warriors' win over Warrington.
The Wales prop has been charged following what appeared to be a late tackle on Wolves' Dean Patton in the 56th minute of the 35-28 victory against the Wire.
It looked as though the forearm or elbow was used and if the forward is found guilty of the Grace C offence he could be suspended for up to three weeks.
A maximum penalty for Flower would see him miss the rest of the playoffs and the Grand Final, should the Warriors make it to the showpiece event this season.
The 28-year-old made headlines two years ago when he saw red in the 2014 Grand Final defeat at the hands of St Helens for punching Lance Hohaia at Old Trafford.
