The former Hull KR forward says he will miss the lack of a Hull derby this season but in it's absence he will be looking ahead to playing the Warriors, who currently sit top of the Super League.
Taylor had three years at Wigan after he joined them in 2012 and, with no Hull derby clash this season, he says the trip to Wigan was the first fixture he looked up.
Taylor told the club's official site: “I can’t wait for the game on Friday night.
“Obviously they’re my old team and when the fixtures come out, I used to look to see when the derby was but unfortunately that’s lost now this season.
“But the next thing was Wigan and that was the first game I looked for this year. I’ve got a lot of friends there still and really loved playing there.“They’ve been doing well recently and so have we, so it should be a really good game on Friday night.”
While Wigan sit on top of the Super League and are unbeaten, Lee Radford's men have won three on the bounce and are just a point behind them in the table.
