The Australian coach has overseen the first full month of pre-season training at the club as they prepare for their first Super League game of the season when they entertain the champions Leeds Rhinos.
Westwood says things are different under Price but he is relishing the challenge ahead under the new coach, the fifth he has worked under at Warrington.
“He’s strict on the field. He’s a perfectionist and he’s getting what he wants from the boys,” he told the Warrington Gaurdian.
“Off the field though, he’s a gentleman so he’s got the right mixture to become a really good coach.
“It’s been a positive start, the boys are getting behind him."
