The agreement apparently gives Widnes better commercial opportunities and the club are also looking to improve the experiences for players, sponsors and supporters when they visit the stadium.
Viking CEO James Rule is delighted to have got the deal agreed and says it will be mutually beneficial for all parties.
He said: “Both Widnes Vikings and Halton Borough Council have been working hard to develop a deal that finds common-ground and fulfils our shared aspirations. I am delighted that we have been able to achieve these goals in this new agreement which offers security of tenure and an opportunity for new revenue generation by the Vikings.
“Halton Borough Council recognise the importance that Widnes Vikings hold in local community, and understand how vital it is that the club has a viable long-term home within Halton."
