Northampton director of rugby Jim Mallinder has revealed his delight after Saints confirmed the signing of Fijian Api Ratuniyarawa.
The 30-year-old second-rower joins the Aviva Premiership outfit from French side Agen, who have allowed Ratuniyarawa to cut his contract short across the Channel.
Mallinder is looking forward to having the Fiji international at Franklin's Gardens and believes the man mountain will offer plenty in the Northampton pack.
He told Sky Sports: "Api is a strong, athletic, physical lock and he has the potential to make a big impact in the Aviva Premiership.
"He has plenty of experience, both at international level and in the challenging environment of French club rugby, and we're looking forward to seeing what he can do at Franklin's Gardens."
