Celtic close in on first January signing

Krasnodar midfielder Kouassi Eboue has reportedly arrived in Glasgow to hold talks with Celtic about a move this month.

Speculation has suggested that the Scottish Premiership leaders have already agreed a fee with the Russian club for the Ivory Coast teenager, with reports claiming the Hoops could pay as much as £3million with add-ons.

The 19-year-old, who has made 18 appearances for Krasnodar this season, has now touched down in Glasgow to complete the formalities, with a four-year contract on the table.

Eboue still needs to pass a medical and secure a work permit but Celtic appear confident of concluding the transfer, as they look to make their first signing of the January window.
