The 24-year-old penned an 18-month loan deal with Genoa in January 2015 and then completed permanent terms last summer but it seems as though he is now on his way out of Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Fiorentina are keen and have lodged a 13million euro bid for the Uruguay international schemer but, according to agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito, it is La Dea who hold all the aces in the race for the star.
"Fiorentina? Yes, I can confirm their offer of 13m euros," he told RadioGoal24. "Are we talking? Right now, we’re closer to a deal with Atalanta. Genoa are asking for 15m euros.
"We’ll see, the negotiations are still at an early stage. Roma and Liverpool? Atalanta’s interest is much more concrete."
