Inter to battle it out for Italian starlet

Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa has reportedly been told he won't be sold – 'even for 1billion euros'.

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to battle it out with Juventus for the signature of Fiorentina starlet Federico Chiesa.

The 21-year-old is a graduate of Fiorentina’s academy and already boasts 100 Serie A appearances to his name.

His exploits in Serie A led to reported interest from Juventus, while he boosted his reputation further over the summer when he netted three goals in three appearances for Italy at the Under-21 European Championship.

Inter have now reportedly joined the race and are hoping to bring in Chiesa as a replacement for Ivan Perisic following his loan move to Bayern Munich.

Napoli were linked with the winger last season but their interest has since waned and it appears to be a two-horse race.

Fiorentina stated earlier in the summer they aren’t willing to listen to offers although it may prove tough for them to turn a sizeable offer if Inter follow through with their reported interest.
