Inter lucky to have Sensi as top clubs still keen
Stefano Sensi’s agent insists there were many top clubs interested in the midfielder over the summer before Inter nailed down a loan deal.
Sensi, 24, has been on the books at Sassuolo since 2016 and made 28 appearances for the Neroverdi in 2018-19.
However, with top clubs circling, the decision was made to let the man capped four times by Italy go out on loan with a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign.
The Nerazzurri had to pay five million euros to seal the loan and it is thought another 20million euros will need to be paid if they are to take the former Cesena ace next summer on a full-time basis.
🗣️ Stefano Sensi's agent, Beppe Riso:
"Antonio Conte wanted him and Inter did well to get him first of all, as Barcelona and Manchester City were already interested over the summer."

It seems Sensi was in demand during the off-season as agent Beppe Riso explained to Calciomercato.com.
“It’s not surprising that there is interest,” he said. “Antonio Conte wanted him and Inter did well to get him first of all.
“Interest from Barcelona and Manchester City was already there over the summer, so it’s normal that it’s still going on.”
The talented schemer has already enhanced his reputation at the San Siro, with three goals from seven outings in all competitions for Inter, and it may be there is competition for his signature when the dust settles on the season.
Sensi’s role has changed in recent years as the former attacking midfielder now operates in a deeper position, meaning it is somewhat surprising and encouraging that his goal tally is relatively high.
