Juve target wanted at Madrid

Serie A

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri may have to change his plans over midfield target Emre Can as Real Madrid are now interested.

Juve looked as though they had got a clear run to sign the player even though Liverpool would dearly like to keep the German international midfielder at Anfield.

That possibility is now threatened by the interest from Real Madrid for a player who is out of contract next summer and free to discuss his future with other clubs in January.

With both clubs now in the hunt it could well be that Liverpool decide to cash in during by selling to the highest bidder in January rather than let him leave for nothing next summer.

Meanwhile, Allegri is expecting English competition in the next round of the Champions League, admitting: “I’d face Barcelona again but I think we’ll face an English club, four of them are the leaders of their groups.”
