Masuaku's agent confirms Serie A plan

The agent of West Ham left-back Arthur Masuaku has confirmed that he wants a move to Serie A and several clubs are watching him.

The 24-year-old former France Under-19 international, who has been at West Ham since joining in a £6.2million switch from Olympiakos in summer 2016, has admittedly struggled to adapt to the rigours of the English Premier League.

Masuaka, who also qualifies to play international football for DR Congo, has subsequently been linked with a move away from London and Napoli were believed to be leading the chase.

And, while agent Francesco Lingenti revealed there has been interest from the club as they look to find cover for the injured Faouzi Ghoulam, it appears there are a number of other Italian clubs in the running to sign him.

"I offered Arthur to [Napoli director of sport, Cristiano] Giuntoli three years ago, then two years ago and now he has probably got the idea… along with Juventus, Genoa and Milan," he told CalcioNapoli24.it.

"Of course there have been talks. The player is being watched very carefully by a few clubs, including Napoli."

Lingenti added: "Serie A is our objective and hopefully he’ll be there in January. For now, Juventus, Napoli and Genoa are in the lead. However, he’d only go to Juventus if the Bianconeri sold Alex Sandro."
