AC Milan head coach Vincenzo Montella does not expect goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to push for a move away anytime soon.
The teenage shot-stopper became Milan's No.1 at the age of just 16 last year and is the heir apparent to Gianluigi Buffon's crown as Italy's top goalkeeper.
Donnarumma's rapid rise to the top has not gone unnoticed though and he was strongly linked with a move away from Milan during the summer with Manchester United and Chelsea both said to be interested.
His agent, Mino Raiola, has now stoked the fires that the 17-year-old might not be at the San Siro for much longer by claiming he should be in a "bigger shop window".
Donnarumma has just under two years left to run on his current contract with Milan but Montella is not worried about potentially losing his No.1 goalkeeper, claiming he is confident he will stay at the San Siro in the long-term.
"I'm sure Milan want to keep Donnarumma. Raiola is originally from the south [of Italy], like me and like Donnarumma, so I'm sure he will sign the contract no matter what he [Raiola] says," Montella said on Monday.
"I say that with a smile on my face because Mino is good at his job, the same as the club management at Milan."
