The 24-year-old has struggled for regular action this term and has often had to make do with filling in at right-back, rather than in his preferred central midfield role.
With rumours circulating that the Bianconeri are set to pounce for Liverpool’s Emre Can, Sturaro could well leave Turin.
His agent, Carlo Volpi, says there has been interest in his client and has revealed he envisages a move abroad rather than to another Serie A club.
“It’s been two and a half months since I received phone calls from the sporting directors of Italian and foreign clubs for Sturaro,” Volpi said. “In football you can never know, but the company has already said no to loan proposals from Serie A clubs.
“If he were to go away now, I think he would go abroad.”
