Leeds plot Adkins lure

Former Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is still to agree the terms of his departure from St Mary's one month after being sacked.
Leeds United are understood to be interested in the 47-year-old as they prepare for life after Neil Warnock next season but cannot open talks with the ex-Saints boss until his period of 'gardening leave' comes to an end.
Adkins has yet to reach a settlement over his contract with Southampton and is unable to negotiate with potential employers until his pay-off is finalised.
Leeds are on the lookout for a new boss after Warnock admitted on Sunday he was prepared to walk away if he failed to secure promotion to the Premier League this season.
His contract ends in June and Leeds are understood to view Adkins, who has secured four promotions in six seasons as a Football League manager, as a leading candidate for the Elland Road hotseat.
The ex-Scunthorpe United boss has kept his counsel on the controversial decision to dispense with his services just days after Saints came back to clinch a dramatic 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
