Rakish Bingham happy to compete for places at Hamilton
Rakish Bingham has welcomed the fresh competition for his place in Hamilton’s front line.
Bingham has forged a promising partnership with Mickel Miller up front this season with Steven Boyd chipping in off the bench – the three strikers have scored all eight of Accies’ goals between them.
But manager Martin Canning has added to his options by bringing James Keatings back to the club from Dundee United and signing experienced Norwegian striker Fredrik Brustad on loan from Molde.
Speaking ahead of Hamilton’s Ladbrokes Premiership encounter at Livingston, Bingham said: ‘I feel like them coming in has definitely put a stamp on whoever is in the team.
‘They have brought added quality and it’s only going to help us. It feels like spots are up for grabs.
‘I see it as healthy competition. Sometimes maybe if you are in the team and you know you are playing week in, week out, and you have a few bad games, you know you are going to play.
‘Mentally it probably doesn’t push you as much as when you have got someone who is going to push you for your position.’
