The Birmingham striker has moved to Paisley on a six-month loan and goes straight into Alan Stubbs’ squad for the Ladbrokes Premiership trip to Ibrox.

Defenders Adam Eckersley and Gary MacKenzie remain out with Achilles problems while midfielder Jordan Kirkpatrick is also nursing an ankle knock. Striker Ross Stewart is also nearing a loan switch to Ross County and unlikely to feature against Steven Gerrard’s men.

Provisional squad: Samson, P McGinn, Coulson, Baird, Kpekawa, S McGinn, Magennis, Kellerman, Willock, McShane, Brock-Madsen, Flynn, Smith, Mullen, King, Erhahon, Cooke, Heaton, Rogers.
