Boss urges £5m striker to take chance
Dave Kitson could start while Andy Griffin, Danny Pugh, Carl Dickinson and Leon Cort are in line to face Leyton Orient tonight.
Potters boss Tony Pulis is set to ring the changes following the goalless draw at Birmingham on Saturday and has told the players coming in to grab the chance with both hands.
Kitson, a £5million misfit who is yet to make an impact a year after his arrival from Reading, has the most to gain and could play from the outset at Brisbane Road.
Pulis said: "We have some good back-up players in the squad and this is an opportunity to take a look at them.
"We will be going there to win the game because we would like a good cup run.
"But it will be a different team to the one that played at Birmingham on Saturday because the last thing I want is my players returning from east London at three or four o'clock on Thursday morning when we have a big game on Saturday."
