Potters ace happy with strike
Kenwyne Jones said he was relieved to finally end his 13-game goal drought but was disappointed it was in a losing effort at Spurs.
The Trinidad & Tobago international ended his wait for a goal in spectacular fashion at White Hart Lane last Saturday but couldn't prevent Stoke losing 3-2 to the European hopefuls.
While Jones was happy to finally relieve the pressure which had been building on him due to his lack of goals he was disappointed to have lost the game.
"It's been a long time coming," he told The Sentinel.
"My performances have been pretty decent for a while, it is just that I haven't been getting the chances to score. I was part of making goals and not scoring them, but thankfully I got one here.
"In the end we were unfortunate. After the second half, we deserved at least a point, but I am not too sure about from the first half."
