Reid steps down

The Thailand Football Association have confirmed Peter Reid has stepped down as national team coach to go full-time at Stoke City.

The former Sunderland, Manchester City and Leeds United boss had intended to juggle his role in the Far East with his new job as Tony Pulis' assistant, because Thailand do not play again until November.

But after Football Association of Thailand president Worawi Makudi flew to England to speak to Reid last week, the ex-Everton midfielder has decided to concentrate on his position with the Potters.
