Stoke ready Genk raid

Stoke have been in contact with Belgium club Genk regarding Leon Bailey but will have to fork out £17million to land the winger.

Bailey broke into the Genk side last season and has already made over 50 league appearances for the cub.

The 19-year-old, who won the Belgian Young Footballer of the Year award last season, has been linked with the likes of Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen and Nice in the past.

Premier League rivals Manchester United have also been mooted as potential suitors although reports in Belgium claim Stoke have made the first move by contacting Genk.

The Potters could be set to swoop in January to ensure they don't miss out on the youngster and Genk are seemingly open to a sale, with reports indicating they will demand a fee of £17million for the Jamaica youth international.
