The Potters have been inconsistent during the first few months of their Premier League campaign with three wins and seven losses, but they added another one to the wins columns after beating the Swans 2-1.
Goals from Xherdan Shaqiri and Mame Diouf at the bet365 Stadium gave Mark Hughes' side their first win in five top-flight outings and pushed them up to 13th in the standings.
The games will come thick and fast this month and over the festive period, and Wimmer believes the confidence gained from downing Swansea will stand them in good stead over the coming weeks.
"There is now a busy period coming up, so it's perfect to start the month with a win," he said.
"Many of the games coming up are very important ones, so it's crucial to get as many points as possible and get ourselves up the table in to a more fitting position."
"We will do everything we can do get a good run going in December, and take the positives out of the Swansea City game into Saturday."
Stoke travel to Wembley on Saturday to take on Tottenham.
