Jones looks to champions clash

Sunderland defender Billy Jones is looking ahead to the visit of the champions Leicester this weekend and is relishing the clash.

Despite the setback at Liverpool on Saturday, confidence is still high with the Black Cats after they picked up two wins on the bounce prior to the trip to Anfield.

Jones is looking forward to returning to the Stadium of Light and taking on the Foxes, who have stuttered in their defence of the title.

Jones told the club's website: “I think we showed that team ethic [against Liverpool] that’s got us some good results in the last few games.

“We will carry on working hard, keep backing each other up and the quality we pose going forward will win many more games, so hopefully that starts this weekend against Leicester.

“We had a poor start to the season but we got the first win and then followed it up with our first home win.

“We want to make the Stadium of Light a fortress so now we’ve got that first home win we want to build on it."
