Broady brushes aside Thais in doubles

Naomi Broady and Monique Adamczak have reached the doubles semi-finals at the Hua Hin Championships in Thailand.

The Briton and her Australian partner needed only 74 minutes to overcome Thai pair Luksika Kumkhum and Nudnida Luangnam in a 6-2 6-4 win.

Kumkhum had earlier kept the Thai hopes alive as the world No.124 stunned Belgium's fifth-seeded Yanina Wickmayer 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (7/3) in the singles event, reaching the quarter-finals.

Third seeds Dalila Jakupovic and Irina Khromacheva will be Broady and Adamczak's opponents in the last four.

Broady, 27, is yet to win a WTA Tour event and is bidding to reach her first doubles final since losing at the Hong Kong Open just over a year ago when she played with fellow Briton Heather Watson.
