The Spaniard gave an interview late last year suggesting relationships between most of the top players are almost non-existent, a statement that upset a number of her rivals.
Muguruza has since gone on to win her maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open in May but, despite her efforts on court, it appears her comments about the situation off court are still fresh in some people's minds.
Two-time doubles major winner Vesnina admits she has not forgotten what the 23-year-old said about her contemporaries, insisting that her own behaviour in the locker room is not helping the situation.
"I remember that interview," she told Championat.com. "Obviously the relationship is not similar to the one you have with your school mate. In tennis we all are rivals.
"Muguruza is not talking to anybody and not saying hi, she zones out in the locker room. Of course, with some players once the career is over, we can be more friends."
