Bale predicts Spurs win

Tottenham, Updated:

Gareth Bale has confidently predicted Spurs' progression to the FA Cup final as they have a better team than Chelsea.

The two sides have endured contrasting fortunes in the run-up to their semi-final showdown at Wembley on Sunday with Tottenham's hopes of Champions League football taking another hit with a 2-1 defeat at home to Norwich at the weekend.
Harry Redknapp's men have now won just one of their last eight league games, although they still hold fourth place on goal difference over Newcastle while Chelsea have turned a corner under Roberto Di Matteo and are just two points back in sixth.
Punters looking to use their free bet will have taken note of Spurs' slump in form but Bale is confident he and his team-mates can get it together at Wembley.

Bale told Spurs TV Online: "Obviously we've got difficult opposition in Chelsea.
"They're a great side, have done really well in the Champions League and it won't be easy, but I think if we are on our game on the day, then we can reach the final because I feel we have the better team.
"We played very well at Stamford Bridge recently, it ended goalless but we had the better chances on the day and we probably should have won the game.
"That will give us plenty of confidence going into this match."
