Defender blow for Spurs

Tottenham have been hit with another blow on the injury front as Michael Dawson looks set to be out of the side for up to two months.

Dawson has picked up an Achilles injury during training, which kept him out of the side which triumphed at Wolves on Sunday. And the latest reports suggest it will be mid-November at the earliest before he is ready to return and that is a massive blow to Redknapp.

Ledley King returned against Wolves but his fitness is an ongoing concern and, with Jonathan Woodgate moving to Stoke last summer, Redknapp will be ruing the fact he missed out on a deal for Bolton's Gary Cahill during the transfer window.

King will be most likely partner Younes Kaboul in the heart of defence as Spurs begin their Europa League campaign this week against PAOK away from home.
