Tottenham sent a message out to the rest of Europe prior to the international break with a 3-1 thumping of Los Blancos at Wembley but Eriksen, who was one of the stars of that night, says Denmark qualifying for the finals in Russia next summer would be a greater achievement.
Denmark come up against the Republic of Ireland in the second leg of their play-off on Tuesday with the tie goaless from the first leg and Eriksen knows it will be a difficult night but says a win would eclipse Spurs' achievement.
“I think it would be,” Eriksen told reporters. “It would mean a lot for personally and the country overall.
"Getting your country to a World Cup is one of the biggest things you can do for your country."
