French reject 'enormous' bid

Marseille claim they turned down an 'enormous' offer from Tottenham for striker Loic Remy during the January window.

Harry Redknapp has been tracking the talented 25-year-old for some time and reports have claimed the Spurs boss launched an £18million bid in an attempt to wrap up a deal.
Marseille president Vincent Labrune would not confirm the fee involved but says most other clubs in France would have accepted it.
"In January, I have two deals to manage," he told French newspaper L'Equipe. "That of Lucho [Gonzalez], who wanted to leave, and that of Remy, who Tottenham wanted to sign.
"I do not think any other president in France would have refused the enormous proposal the London club made."
