Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is without star striker Harry Kane for the clash with Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Kane has damaged ligaments in his ankle and is facing an indeterminate spell on the sidelines but is unlikely to be be back until after the next international break and it brings to an end 71 consecutive starts for the club in the Premier League.
Pochettino is certain to revert to his strongest line-up after making wholesale changes to his side for the clash with Gillingham in the EFL Cup but he will hand late tests to a trio of players.
Danny Rose is a doubt because of a hamstring problem, while Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier will be assessed after they both suffered cramp last weekend although Pochettino is hopeful they will all be fit to play.
