Spurs' Mauricio Pochettino will hope to inspire £30m flop Erik Lamela but is open to bids for Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado.
The new Tottenham boss is planning his transfer strategy after assessing the quality of the squad he has inherited and has prioritised a new striker - as long as the club can successfully offload one or both of Adebayor and Soldado.
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is thought to be at the top of Spurs' list with the Belgian frontman keen to move on after Jose Mourinho splashed out on Diego Costa.
But Lamela, 22, is not likely to be touted around by the club despite an anonymous first season at White Hart Lane following his club record transfer.
The Argentina winger is training hard while on holiday in Mar del Plata, 200km south of Buenos Aires, after being told by Pochettino that he will start next season with a clean slate.
Lamela, who cost £30m from Roma, is keen to prove his doubters wrong and is looking forward to working under Pochettino.
Tottenham are understood to have rejected significant bids from Napoli and Inter for the ex-River Plate star already this summer.
