Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp believes the club will be looking to offer midfielder Luka Modric a new contract.

The Croatian international intimated he wanted to leave White Hart Lane last summer to join London rivals Chelsea to play more Champions League football.
Spurs stood firm and insisted they would not be selling the key playmaker, who has a long-term contact with the north London outfit.

Now Redknapp believes chairman Daniel Levy will be looking to offer Modric a new contract, as the Lilywhites hope to keep their best players at the club and push for another top four finish in the Premier League.
He said: "Luka will just get on with it - the chairman will sit down and discuss his contract and make a deal.
"We are looking to make him a good offer. The transfer window being shut now makes my job easier because he has to just get on with playing."
