Tottenham could turn to Norwich striker Steve Morrison if they fail in their attempts to land Andy Carroll from Liverpool.
Despite playing down Tottenham's chances of pulling off any big deals before the closer of the transfer window, it is thought Harry Redknapp is keen to add another striker to his ranks.
Much will depend on whether he can move out Roman Pavlyuchenko but both Carroll and Morrison are on his list of targets.
Rumours are rife that Liverpool are ready to sell Carroll and Tottenham have now joined Manchester City and Newcastle in the race to sign the striker and could make a cheeky £10million bid.
If that fails then Redknapp could turn to Wales International Morrison, who has bagged eight goals for Norwich this season after signing from Millwall in the summer.
