Wagner calls on players to turn tide
David Wagner isn’t yet looking to solve Town’s problems in the transfer market and has called on his current squad to turn it around.
The Terriers slipped to their ninth defeat of the season at Bournemouth on Tuesday and they remain just above the relegation zone going into the busy Christmas and New Year period.
Despite the proximity to the January transfer window, Wagner would rather focus his attention on the players he has now than those he may or not be able to sign.
‘I’m not focused on January,’ he said following the 2-1 defeat at the Vitality Stadium.
‘All of them, not only our strikers, need to use their chances. The most important thing in football is to know exactly what you have to do better after the game.
‘We have to be better defensively in these situations and we have to be better in using these clear-cut chances. Everything in between was great, but that is not for the first time this season.’
