Wolves set to snap up £18m Japanese star
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Japanese forward Shoya Nakajima from Portimonense for £18million.
A Bola claim Wolves are set to swoop for the 24-year-old attacker, who has scored five league goals from ten starts this season.
Nakajima is under contract until 2020 at Portimonense with a release clause of 40m euros but it is believed Wolves should get their man for approximately half that amount.
It is reported that Southampton and Leicester City had also shown interest in the ex-FC Tokyo star with Portimonense vice president Robson Ponte admitting in October that ‘the harassment has been enormous’.
He speaks fluent Portuguese so should have no problem communicating with Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo or potential future teammates Rui Patrício, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Helder Costa, Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota – wh have all played in the country.
