Sevilla close in on double deal
Sevilla have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi and Ajax youngster Maximilian Wober.
Spain international Munir has never been able to force his way into Barca’s first-team on a regular basis and he has spent time on loan at both Valencia and Alaves over recent seasons.
The 23-year-old has only featured 11 times across all competitions for the Blaugrana this season and he will now head to Sevilla for a fee that is believed to be just over £1million, although the deal is still subject to him passing a medical.
The announcement of Munir’s impending arrival at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan comes swiftly off the back of Sevilla agreeing a deal to sign Ajax defender Wober.
Wober, who does not turn 21 until next month, is expected to join Sevilla for a fee that could rise to 11million euros, with the Andalusians making the move following the Austrian’s impressive performances in this season’s Champions League.
Sevilla currently sit third in the La Liga standings, seven points behind leaders Barca and they will take on Atheltic Bilbao at the San Mames in their next match on Sunday.
