Rangers keep tabs on Croatian midfielder
Rangers are reported to be keeping tabs on Maritimo midfielder Josip Vukovic, who could join a growing Croatian contingent at the club.
Portuguese newspapers A Bola and Record claim Rangers are interested in the 26-year-old defensive midfielder, who was formerly with Olimpik Donetsk. La Liga side Villarreal plus Lisbon giants Sporting Club and Benfica have also been credited with an interest in the Croatian-born player, who was capped 12 times at Under-19 level for his country. The reports state Rangers will send scouts to watch Vukovic, who agreed a three-year deal with Maritimo in June last year after joining on a free transfer, in future games for the Madeira-based club. Rangers already have Croatian defenders Borna Barisic and Nikola Katic on their books.
