Huesca’s on-loan Watford striker Juan Camilo Hernandez says he wants to stay in the Spanish top flight next season.

Watford have loaned the 20-year-old forward, nicknamed ‘Cucho’, to Huesca for the past two seasons and he has returned four goals in 32 league games for La Liga’s second-bottom club, who remain five points adrift of safety.

Hernandez will play for Colombia in this summer’s Under-20 World Cup and hopes to catch the eye during the tournament.

‘I’m no longer here in Huesca, it’s a decision I made and I do not know what the possibilities are, we have to wait after the World Cup,’ Hernandez said on RCN Radio.

‘The World Cup is going to be a big showcase, but I’m sure I do not continue here.

There are possibilities, there are interests, the idea is to continue here in Spain in the first division.’
